I have completed my dissertaion, titled “Business Model Innovation: Exploring the Concept, its Antecedents and Consequences” under the supervision of Professor Christoph Zott, at the IESE Business School in Barcelona, Spain, cum laude. My dissertation was granted the 2014 Heizer Dissertation Award by the Entrepreneurship Division of the Academy of Management, and ranked in the top 10% of the ISPIM Dissertation Award Finalists. My research interests cover business model, innovation, and identity processes in both new and established firms, and I have been presenting my work at various international conferences such as AOM, SMS, Druid, and EGOS. I am currently an Assistant Professor of Strategy, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship at the Toulouse Business School since 2013.
Born and raised in Ukraine, I received my undergraduate degrees in international business with distinctions from the Reims Management School (France) and the Northeastern University (USA). Before starting my Ph.D. I worked as a financial professional at Johnson & Johnson in the pharmaceutical industry, Coca Cola and the Gillette Company in the consumer goods industry, and Credit Lyonnais in the banking sector. I have taught at the Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona, Spain), and now am in charge of teaching various strategy and entrepreneurship courses at the Toulouse Business School. I speak, research, and teach in English, French, Spanish, Russian, and Ukrainian.
